During the coming months, I plan to post genealogical and historical information about several families who lived in Attala County and the surrounding area after migrating to Mississippi from other states during the 1800's. The BALDRIDGE, BRANCH, GIBSON, MERIWETHER, NETHERLAND, PETTUS, PORTER, AND WILLIAMS are these families. I am descended through these lines, as many of you in Attala County are, as well.
